Summary

The Senior Logistics Manager will oversee and manage the inbound logistics of pharmaceuticals, including controlled substances and antibiotics, from Company’s principals. The incumbent will also manage all outbound/export logistics, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to our customers and sub-distributors. This role includes the supervision of the outbound logistics supervisor, the warehouse logistics supervisor, and the customer service supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage inbound logistics, coordinating with principals to ensure timely and compliant receipt of pharmaceuticals, including controlled substances and antibiotics.
  • Oversee the operations of the bonded warehouse, ensuring efficient handling and storage of goods in transit to sub-distributors.
  • Coordinate and manage all outbound/export logistics, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to customers and sub distributors in the Caribbean.
  • Supervise the outbound logistics supervisor, warehouse logistics supervisor, and customer service supervisor, ensuring effective teamwork and communication.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies and processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards for the storage and transportation of pharmaceuticals, especially controlled substances and antibiotics.
  • Monitor and report on logistics performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including sales and customer service, to ensure seamless order processing and delivery.
  • Manage relationships with logistics providers and negotiate contracts to ensure the best possible service and rates.
  • Oversee inventory management and ensure accurate tracking of all inbound and outbound goods.
  • Develop and manage the logistics budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in managing warehouse operations and inbound/outbound logistics.
  • Experience in handling controlled substances and antibiotics is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in supervising and leading teams.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical logistics.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
