Summary
The Server/Wait Staff is responsible for providing an exceptional dining experience to every guest. Your role is pivotal in creating a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring that our guests feel valued and delighted from the moment they walk in until they leave. You will be knowledgeable about our menu; ensuring guests enjoy a culinary experience, fully attentive to guests' needs, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of service.


Description of Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcome guests as they arrive and present menus with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Listen and accurately take food and beverage orders and relay them promptly to the kitchen and bar.
  • Communicate clearly and efficiently with kitchen staff to ensure a seamless service and accommodate special requests or dietary needs.
  • Support Bussers on delivery of food and drinks to tables in a timely manner, ensuring proper presentation and temperature.
  • Continuously monitor guests’ satisfaction, promptly address any issues, and ensure they have a memorable dining experience.
  • Thank guests as they leave, ensuring they had a pleasant experience.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and cultural significance of dishes.
  • Offer recommendations based on guests’ preferences and explain the unique aspects of restaurant’s cuisine.
  • Help coordinate, serve, and support special events and large party reservations.
  • Ensure and oversee the set-up tables with clean linens, tableware, and glasses before guests are seated, ensuring everything is in pristine condition.
  • Always keep the dining area clean and orderly, including assisting with resetting tables quickly and efficiently, immediately after guests leave.
  • Handle cash, LINX, and credit card transactions accurately, ensuring that all payments are processed correctly, and receipts are provided.


Job requirements

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

  • Five CXC Subjects (Must include Mathematics and English)
  • Demonstrated ability to create a positive guest experience through excellent service.
  • Strong attention to detail in all aspects of service, from order accuracy to table setup.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, assists with seating arrangements, carries trays, and performs repetitive tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Supports a collaborative environment, effectively managing challenges and fostering a cohesive team dynamic.
