The Marketing Coordinator will perform a variety of tasks to support business operations within the Marketing Department. 

These will include and is not limited to:
1) Merchandising management
2) Signage management
3) Instore promotion management

A. Merchandising

  • Understand the merchandising objectives by segment to be achieved
  • Participate in the development of packaging and merchandising plans based on the needs of each segment
  • Participate in the development and manage strategy for Principals’ involvement and contribution in resourcing merchandising
  • Understand the current physical layout of Company’s top customers, identify existing merchandising and opportunities for the Brand
  • Oversee the implementation of merchandising plans
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to execute plan
  • Maintain merchandising to ensure ease of purchase for consumers and Brand presentation reflects quality

B. Signage

  • Understand the signage objectives for the Brand
  • Understand the universe of signage in Trinidad and Tobago
  • Understand the maintenance requirements on all paid signage and conduct site visits to validate such.
  • Ensure all OOH material is maintained
  • Maintain contracts relating to all signage to ensure renewals are timely.

C. Instore Promotions

  • Understand the outcomes to be achieved through instore promotions
  • Understand customer marketing promotion requirements
  • Oversee and execute all instore promotions at the customer level to ensure success
  • From the execution, make recommendations based on performance, costs and returns
  • Ensure that customer relationships are developed to effectively execute promotions

C. Other

  • Ensure all requisitions associated to areas above are completed and the necessary documentation is provided to Finance timely
  • Completion of reports in relation to associated areas above to ensure effectiveness & aid in decision making
  • Perform all other general clerical and administrative duties.

Job requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing
  • Five (5) CXC passes, must possess a 1 or 2 in English Language (General Proficiency)
  • One-Three (1-3) years' practical experience
  • Fully Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment or independently
  • The ability to multi-task effectively with minimal supervision
  • The ability to prioritise and show initiative
  • Highly organized and ability to adapt to quickly changing priorities
  • Time management skills
  • Must be willing to work weekends where necessary
  • In possession of a good working vehicle
