Summary

The Store/Retail Manager is expected to ensure the daily operations of the Company and its divisions are executed in an efficient and effective manner. The incumbent is also responsible for ensuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandising execution, managing expenses and inventory, training of the store teams whilst delivering outstanding customer service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively present, discuss and sell the products and services of the company, soliciting only those desired
    products/services provided by the company in a way that conveys an image of quality, integrity and superior understanding and delivery of customer needs.
  • Liaise with the Purchasing Department with the procurement of items (current & new) based on customer needs
  • Manage day-to-day running’s of business operations and inventory management in assigned divisions (to achieve company goals)
  • Train staff regarding operations of the store, customer service and kitchen preparations as company’s process and standards to maintain quality control
  • Evaluate division performance and recommend new strategies for performance improvements
  • Oversee staffing adjustments to obtain maximum productivity
  • Recommend cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining productivity and quality
  • Provide guidance to team members and monitor their performance, discipline and attendance on regular basis
  • Approve all discounts, voids and stock adjustments before forwarding to Senior Management for final approval
  • Immediately attend to questions, complaints and, concerns by workers and customers, and facilitate satisfactory resolution or direct complaints to management
  • Ensure all inventory in the stock room/warehouse is properly organized for easy identification at all times
  • Understand and appropriately use the company pricing and billing system and policies
  • Reconcile accounts with Cashiers at every shift, generate sales reports for Management
  • The Store Manager must have knowledge of ALL company’s products and keep up to date with new products
  • Ensure all stores are opened and closed at the appropriate times and employees maintain a high level of professionalism when dealing with customers
  • Perform any other duties as deemed necessary by Management 

Job requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management field

Experience

  • Three (3) years’ relevant work experience in a retail environment
  • At least one (1) year experience using inventory management systems including ordering, receiving etc.
  • Experience in the store/retail industry with a proven track record of accomplishments
  • Intermediate level in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point

  • Ability to inspire and motivate your team to ensure high performing, as well as, fast service and friendly store
